Our theme this month is ANYTHING GOES!
I hope you have joined me from Teri's blog. A complete list of Stampin Friends is found at the bottom of my post. I hope you will take the time to look at everyone's cards and projects. We love it when you make a comment.
These past few months have been challenging for us all in different ways. I have a dear friend in a senior care center who has been quarantined since March. She misses the family and friends who haven't been able to visit her regularly. I have tried to cheer her up with a card or call everyday.
My card and project are ones I created with her in mind.
Hinged Lid Chocolate Treat Box
She LOVES chocolate (as do I!), so I made a little treat box containing four Hershey Nuggets. Once again The Paper Pixie was my inspiration. Find her easy to follow directions for making the hinged lid box.
What I used:
6 x 6 inch piece of Just Jade Designer Series Paper for box and chocolate wraps (153070)
1 x 3 inch scrap strips of Misty Moonlight designer series paper for chocolate wraps (153070)
Copper foil paper for leaf embellishment (142020)
Pretty Peacock card stock for leaf embellishment (150880)
Copper ribbon (retired)
Copper embossing powder (retired)
Versamark ink (102283)
So Sentimental stamp set for the Yummilicious tag (151691)
Forever Flourishing die cuts for the leaves
Mini Curvy Keepsake die for the little "enjoy" tag (retired)
The Card
When my friend was younger and in her own home, she collected copper mugs and proudly displayed them on her fireplace mantle. I know she will love this copper embossed card. I tried a "new to me" embossing technique. I liked how it turned out.
What I did:
1. Covered the front inside flap of the embossing folder with Versamark ink.
2. Placed a piece of Perfect Peacock card stock in the folder and ran it through my cutting and embossing tool.
3. Sprinkled copper embossing powder over the entire surface of the Perfect Peacock embossed paper and heat set it.
Here is a close up of the copper:
What I used:
Posted for You stamp set for the front greeting (152621)
Forever Flourishing dies for the leaves
Free as a Bird stamp set for the inside greeting (149468)
Stitched so Sweetly die for the inside greeting
Tin Tile 3D embossing folder (151801)
4 x 5 1/4 inch copper foil piece for the mat AND the large leaf
Here's a paper saving hint: Before adhering the copper piece, cut a copper leaf out of the center--the opening created by the die cut will be hidden once the layers are put together.
