March 2020 Stampin Friends Blog Hop
Congrats, Grads, Brides, and Babies

Hello, stamping friends!   Happy first day of SPRING!  I hope you have come from Katja's blog.   The list of bloggers is at the bottom of my blog where you will find lots of inspiration for paper crafting.

This month our theme is CONGRATS, GRADS, BRIDES, AND BABIES.  My card and 3-D project feature BABIES.  Here they are:
What You Need For the Card Front--Stampin' Up! order numbers are in parentheses
Blue Card Stock 8.5 x 5.5  Scored at 4.25 (146982)
White mat 4 x 5.25
Pretty Paper (Designer Series Paper) background 5 x 3 (Subtles DSP 6 x 6 149615)
Pretty paper for the letters
Four white stitched and scalloped rectangles (Stitched So Sweetly stamp set 151690)
Scrap blue piece for stars (Stitched Stars die cuts 150653) and small scalloped "welcome" mat (Well Said stamp set 148796)
Ribbon   (Unfortunately this organdy ribbon is no longer available.  So sad....I love it!)
What you Need to Do
Adhere the pretty paper piece to the white mat.
Wrap 6 inches of ribbon across the top portion of the card bringing the ends to the back.
Adhere the ends with tape.
Make a bow and adhere it to the ribbon with a glue dot.

Die cut the letters and adhere them to the white scalloped    rectangle.

Use the smallest star die to cut four stars.
Adhere the white background piece to the blue card base.
Stamp "welcome" on a 1/2 inch scrap piece.
Adhere to the blue scalloped rectangle.
Adhere over the ribbon with dimensionals.

What You Need for the Inside of the Card
White background 4 x 5.25
White piece for inside greeting  2 x 4.5
Blue mat for inside greeting  2.25 x 4.75
Embossing folder (my heart folder is now unavailable, but there many to choose from in the  catalog)
Blue scraps for heart (Stitched Labels die cuts 146828) and stars (these are tiny and difficult to pick up with my "old, numb fingers."  The Take Your Pick tool to the rescue! 144107)
Wink of Stella (141897)
Dimensionals (104430)
What You Need to Do
Emboss the white background piece.

Use a sponge to apply color to the embossing and then adhere that piece to the inside of the card.
Stamp the inside greeting.  I used a stamp (not Stampin' Up!) that I have had for years.
Use a blue scrap to die cut the stars and heart.  Adhere to the inside greeting piece.  Use a dimensional to give the little heart some dimension.  For a glittery look, coat the heart with Wink of Stella.
Adhere blue mat and inside greeting to card base.

What You Need for the Mini Pizza Box
Mini Pizza Box (144645)
Blue background for the top  3.25 x 3.25 (Layering Squares 141708)
White mat for the top  2 7/8 x 2 7/8
3 x 1/2 inch scraps of pretty paper for sides of box (I LOVE using scraps in my projects!)
3 1/4 x 5/8 in blue mats for sides of the box
Ribbon
What You Need to Do
Adhere the pretty paper strips to the blue strips.
Then adhere them to the sides of the box.
Adhere the blue square to the top of the box.

What You Need for the Woven Embellishment on Top
Six blue strips  1/2 x 4 (Yay!  Using scraps again!)
Six pretty paper strips  1/2 x 4
White backing piece 4 x 5
Blue piece for tag (Swirly Snowflakes--a retired set, but many of our punches could be used  make a tag)
White scraps for stamping "for you, baby" and "to:/from:" (So Sentimental 151691)
What You Need to Do
Put a small amount of glue on one end of a blue strip.  Adhere it to the white backing piece.

Put a small amount of glue on another blue strip and adhere it to the white backing piece placing it next to the first blue strip.

Continue gluing the remaining blue strips.
Weave the pretty paper strips through the blue strips.

When all the strips are snugly in place, glue the other end of the blue strips to keep everything straight and in place.

Put the scalloped square die cut on top of the woven  piece, centering the design.

Run it through the Big Shot. Then glue it to the white mat.

Attach the woven piece to the top with dimensionals.
Make a the tag. Wrap ribbon around the box and tie the tag to the ribbon with baker's twine.

My blogging friends have lots of great ideas for all those GRADS, BRIDES, AND BABIES.  We would love to see your comments!
